Overview
edm provided architecture and engineering services for the conversion of the former Yankee Pedlar into a branch bank. Complete transformation of the former Yankee Pedlar Inn, demolishing 70% of the Inn and “extracting” the original Hildreth House. The design concept was to restore the exterior of the historic House and complement it with a contemporary “barn” which would house a branch bank and drive-thru. The interior of the House is utilized for community activities. The branch interior houses typical bank functions in a vaulted open space, which incorporated elements from the Pedlar, a local icon.
