Senior Licensed Electrical Engineer

Location: Farmington, CT, Pittsfield, MA, or Troy, NY
*This is a hybrid position, which requires 3-4 days in office, 1-2 days remote. Salary Range: $95K - $120K, commensurate with experience.*

Electrical Engineering Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; Professional Engineer Licensure required
  • 7+ years of experience, including experience managing a team with demonstrated ability to motivate and lead.
  • Subject matter expert on engineering principles, material properties, and other applicable engineering concepts.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to retain and build client relationships.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to provide instruction.
  • Proficient in communicating technical concepts, both verbally and in written form.
  • Self-confidence and humility; ability to cultivate and gain trust through active listening and being a team player.
  • Ability to travel to sites and field work.

Senior Licensed Electrical Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable codes, safety requirements, and other standards.
  • Prepare working drawings and specifications; perform detailed calculations for complex projects.
  • Prepare, review, and approve technical reports; coordinate design with all other disciplines.
  • Responsible for stamping construction documents.
  • Guide team on providing technical expertise; advise client on best solutions and recommendations in design.
  • Price additional services for out-of-scope client requests; review and obtain client approval.
  • Guide team on understanding client needs, constraints in project schedule, scope, and budget to add value through proposed solutions.
  • Maintain project schedules; direct team through portion(s) of project with assistance of PM.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed at expected quality, within budget, and on schedule.
  • Ask thoughtful, relevant, and open-ended questions to better understand clients’ needs; actively listen to develop rapport.
  • Visit project sites and attend meetings with clients, architects, and engineers.
  • Prepare reports and communicate project status updates to leadership, and internal clients.
  • Assist team by leveraging strengths and helping achieve goals/deadlines.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and provide a high quality of customer service.
  • Assist leadership with executing the strategic initiatives of the firm and sharing ideas for improvement on implementation.
  • Continuous education to remain competitive with latest technologies and practices; develop mentorship programs, train staff, and assist with development.
  • Assist with monitoring team labor and expenses; review monthly labor reports.
  • Develop new client business and engaging in strategic planning.
  • Build relationship capital with clients through project work
