Marketing Manager

To support our growth, we are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Marketing Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing companywide marketing efforts consistent with the goals of the strategic plan including managing proposal submittals, marketing communications, market research, advertising, and business development support. Working with senior management, the position will execute marketing strategies that will build brand recognition and promote the EDM’s image in the most valuable way possible. We are seeking someone who has the confidence and creativity to bring innovative ideas to the table and be willing to implement them. Industry experience is a plus, but most importantly, we are seeking a candidate who will complement our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and project managers to develop deadline-sensitive deliverables such as proposals, qualifications packages, interview presentations, and award submissions.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of proposals and presentations from initial stage to final delivery to ensure a quality product.
  • Conduct research, coordinate consultant materials, customize project profiles and team information, and develop customized graphic layouts. 
  • Maintain marketing materials including resumes, boilerplate information, project descriptions, etc. 
  • Maintain marketing databases, experience in Deltek CRM a plus. 
  • Collaborate with Director of Business Development to identify, research, and track leads and opportunities.
  • Research and advise management on alternative or enhanced marketing strategies and opportunities.
  • Utilize new brand identity to ensure a consistent appearance and style for all marketing communications, including proposal materials, brochures, advertising, newsletters, and other graphic projects.
  • Lead content development, working with project team leaders for social media and the firm’s website.
  • Develop a marketing plan that aligns and supports the business plan for the coming year.
  • Assist with developing and managing the annual marketing budget.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement pursuits and activities / events.
  • Attend networking events on behalf of the firm when appropriate.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • 7+ years of related marketing and proposal experience; A/E/C industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, Constant Contact, and social media platforms.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and work well with a variety of staff.
  • Effective time management skills and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deliverables.
  • Visually literate with strong verbal and graphic communication skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; active listening and follow-up skills. 
  • Capable of working productively in a team setting, as well as independently.
  • A strong work-ethic, flexibility and a creative approach to problem solving are essential.
