Job Summary:
The ideal candidate for this position is creative and passionate about building electrical systems, working within an integrated design team and generating sustainable solutions in all phases of a project. The position is responsible for designing electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS and renewable energy systems.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing design solutions that exceed their expectations.
- Perform a variety of tasks including calculations, field observations, report writing and the review and coordination of work.
- Electrical systems design, documentation and specification based on sustainable, reliable and cost-effective solutions in compliance with the National Electrical Code.
- Develop construction documents implementing edm Standards to produce a coordinated design set.
- Review contractor submittals.
- Assist senior technical staff in the development of technical documentation, proposals and presentations and resolving installed system issues.
- Attend meetings with clients, architects and engineers.
- Coordinate systems and requirements with the architect, HVAC and plumbing designers and other disciplines.
- Actively seek the latest technologies related to engineering principles and practices.
- Implement and manage concurrent projects.
- Maintain involvement with professional and business sector organizations and associations.
- Demonstrate an active presence in the community.
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience
- EIT or Licensed Professional Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
- Professional certifications (LEED, WELL, etc…)
